Our Process
-
1. Site Inspection
We’ll assess your site, and suggest the best way to build on your block. We’ll check the site-fall, Services and Overlays. Pre-purchase block inspections are available, get in touch to arrange an inspection.
-
2. Where we start
We work closely with our clients to create the perfect home; whether it is alterations to a standard plan or starting with a sketch created by our clients using a scrap piece of paper, a pencil and some ideas.
-
3. Custom Design
There is no additional charge for a custom designed home with Glen Loddon Homes. It is no additional cost if you do not choose to build a standard plan; material and labor costs are the same whether it is a custom design or a standard plan.
-
4. Designing to a budget
Almost eighty percent of our homes are custom designs. Quite often a sketch is presented from a prospective client. One of our Design Consultants will look at the design and sometimes we will have a similar plan that has been constructed and be able to pass on a ‘ball park’ figure for construction based on the client’s inclusions, which is very helpful in the early stages. Often people spend a small fortune on plans only to find the construction cost is way over what they were intending to invest. We all have a budget and receiving good advice from the beginning is invaluable.

5. Creating your dream
Designing homes is our passion. We love working with people to create their perfect home. Each design is individual according to a client’s requirements. As homes become more and more a sanctuary away from the constant rushing of day to day life; many people are choosing to stay at home and entertain their family and friends; which explains why additional emphasis is being put on creating that perfect outdoor space for Summer and an open plan living area for the cooler months of the year.
